Local AAF Addys events represent a rare opportunity to bring out the camaraderie in a highly competitive market. But every year needs to be different to keep people coming back. And operating on a shoestring budget, we need bold fresh ideas and eyecatching visuals to interest creative professionals. Enter Addison J Addington Memorial High School, the hypothetical school all advertising professionals graduate from. Spurring clubs, banners, songs, a yearbook, and an unforgettable evening.
From rookie mistakes to the cutting edge, this campaign celebrates in our whole careers in advertising. We created a reunion-themed awards ceremony and built a campaign around it. The social media lead-up included a range of past photography styles, evocative club photos like "Crossed Arms Club" and "Tired Club," and ofc an invitation to the April event. We decorated the venue from hallways to rafters with appropriate pennants and signage. Take-home souvenirs included a printed yearbook, baby pennants, and if you were lucky, an award. The theme inspired a whole marching band and the Addy Pyrmamid Mascot Man to show up unannounced.
